MEET THE TEAM
Jason Parker
Jason Parker is the CEO and Founder of Spartan General Contractors. Jason is the newest member of the Planning Commission for the City of Alma. Jason grew up in the southern part of Mississippi and moved because of his father’s work. He graduated high school in Irving, TX, then moved to Johnson City, TN where he completed EMT School and began Pre-Med at ETSU, while working in construction in his off time.
Jason met his wife, Kim, and got married in late 1998. After getting married, Jason decided to make his construction work a full-time job and began traveling out of state working for a general contractor hired by Limited Corp. He was in charge of supervising projects such as Victoria’s Secret, Express, Bath and Body Works, and more. Jason moved his family to the River Valley in 2010 after being promoted within a local commercial contractor. He was presented with the opportunity to manage a $30 million project in Northwest Arkansas during which he had the desire to create a general contracting company that would reflect his efficiency and values to serve the area. After the first year in business, Jason has completed over $1 million in work with his friend and Co-Founder, Wesley Terhune (COO). Their combined total experience in the commercial and residential construction industry is over 50 years.
Jason enjoys spending time with his wife of 23 years, his two children, and their Australian Shepherd, Mulder (who likes most people)…
His oldest son, Ryley, is a Biology major at Arkansas Tech and plans to go to Graduate School where he will study Zoology and Marine Biology. His youngest daughter, Josie, attends Alma High School where she has completed multiple murals and other art projects for the high school and local residents. Both children were accepted into Arkansas Governor’s School. When Jason isn’t working, he is a huge advocate of his Faith, family, friends, and the outdoors. By “outdoors” he means guns, motorcycles, fishing, and ALL things America.

Wesley Terhune
Wesley (Wes) J. Terhune is the COO and Co-Founder of Spartan General Contractors. After years of being an Army Brat, Wes followed in his father’s military footsteps and joined the US Navy in November 1980. He was assigned duty aboard the USS Enterprise (CVN65) in January 1981 where he served as a Yeoman for 4 years reaching the rank of Petty Officer 3rd Class.
When Wes left the Navy, he went to work for a Real Estate Development and Construction company in Fort Smith, AR specializing in skilled care nursing facilities development and construction across the Southeastern United States. During this employment, Wes met Jason Parker in 2006 in Northeast Tennessee when he hired Jason as Construction Superintendent. Wes retired from the construction company after 35 years and pursued the long discussed opportunity of joining forces with Jason to start their own construction and real estate development company.
Wes met his wife, Susan, at a Piggly-Wiggly grocery store in 1980 in Waldron, AR. They got married in 1982 and have been married for 38 years. They have 3 beautiful daughters together, Amanda Hughes, Megan Davis, and Chanlee Waters. Their daughters brought them 3 son-in-laws, Dustin Hughes, Tony Davis, and Derek Waters. Wes and Susan are better known as Poppy and Mee Mee to their 8 grandchildren Breella, Olivia, Aria, and Daxtin Hughes, Annabelle, Evelyn, and Scarlett Davis, and Liam Waters.
When Wes isn’t working, he enjoys spending time with his children and grandchildren, especially when he cooks them all dinner every Sunday evening. While his children have grown, and are no longer playing sports, he now enjoys watching his grandchildren play the sports his girls grew up playing. He has a love for the outdoors and working in his yard. He is also a HUGE fan of NASCAR, but an even bigger fan of the #4 car. GO KEVIN HARVICK! He is grateful for the opportunities that have come before him and looking forward to the ones ahead.
